| In respect to Andy in Wisconsin's post regarding excepting (accepting?) women. Sorry, but as a former member of a mixed club all I can say is that it's not a good idea. A club is a Brotherhood and when using the word brother it is not in the biblical sense...it means male. Although I am a vet, and like-minded, I would not advise accepting women as it causes problems (and yes, I was patched in a club before so have seen it), and it's not the women who cause the problems, directly. It's hard to explain, but suffice it to say that men act differently when there are women around and it can cause a riff. Also, for what it's worth - I will never ride anything but a Harley. |
